After a long long time, Samsung finally made v2.3 Gingerbread available to whole set of galaxy phones through kies. last week i updated my i9003 [galaxy SL] and my friend's s5830 [galaxy ace].
- Download kies
- Connect phone in kies mode (disable debugging mode)
- Wait for a moment kies recognizes phone and update check, if your phone is not running 2.3 then a update will be shown, hit update.
- Kies will download firmware upgrade components and firmware. firmware size 180 MB ! relax while kies downloads firmware :)
- Finally, firmware update stage ; and see a successful update.
